We’re beyond excited to share the vibrant success of the inaugural Sangamam – a first-of-its-kind Tamil networking event hosted innovatively and engagingly by none other than Raagavi Sivasankar, our dynamic Marketing Coordinator at Tamil Institute for Leadership Excellence. With a creative twist on community networking, she led the charge in organising this food-themed cultural gathering, transforming it into a lively experience of connection, tradition, and discovery. From planning to hosting, her energy took Sangamam to a whole new level, and the results were nothing short of phenomenal!

Theme: Tamil Food & Fun Debates

A crowd of 40 Tamil professionals joined us in London to indulge in more than just food. They participated in fun icebreakers, such as Idly vs. Dosa and Kothu Roti vs. Biryani. They explored lesser-known treasures of Tamil cuisine while forming new friendships and exchanging professional insights.

More than just an event – it was a moment of connection, culture, and community. While many networking events come and go, Sangamam left a lasting impression. Why? Because it brought together people not just by profession but by shared roots, language, food, and identity. It wasn’t just about exchanging LinkedIn profiles; it was about recognising each other in ourselves. It was warm, real, and genuinely human.

We laughed. We shared stories. We explored underrated gems of Tamil cuisine. Manibarth entertained the audience with his unique quality of mimicry, while CK Independent engaged everyone with his inspirational rap song. We walked away not just with contacts but with a more profound sense of belonging and pride in our heritage.

TILE Co-founder S A N Rajkumar and Executive Director Deepthi Prem also shared the purpose and mission of TILE, reinforcing the importance of community and collaboration among Tamil professionals.
